The craft of editing comprises three elements: the technical aspect of operating an editing system, the skills of using the editing equipment effectively to create a high quality result and the ability to consult, advise and persuade the producer to make the right decision.
This course concentrates on the latter two elements as stories are cut and reviewed, and editors have to justify what they have done and why. It will provide a good opportunity for everyone to learn from each other and to pick up expert tips along the way. It will concentrate on improving both technical and creative output.
